LyrebirdRadio in South Gippsland in Victoria, Australia RELAUNCHED and now streaming at 64Kbs. I don't know what its for really, but the vague plan is that most of the content is.. um.. I dunno. There's a lot of my own recordings made over the years - music, songs, silly conversations, mixes, interviews, story readings, and tracks that various friends have made or been involved in. There's Karl Beavis, Cool and the Cucumbers, Julie Constable, The Band Who Knew Too Much, The Hoodangers, Also Lyrebird song, animal calls, and various other squawking ... -K.D. |

Here's some help for those unaccustomed to internet radio.
Not all internet radio stations show up in your media player's searches. More are to be found out there on the internet and its worth searching around
When you find an internet radio station on a website, like this one, because you are using your browser not your media player, you need to get the address of the radio station and pass that address on to the media player
To do this you just click the icon. This is to allow a small file to be sent to your computer. It's needed so that your media player can find the internet radio station stream, so if your computer asks you if you want to download it, you need to say yes.
So, for example, when you click the above iTunes icon or the Winamp icon or the icon that says "listen", you'll download a file called playlist.pls, and itunes or winamp might even start up of its own accord and start playing the LyrebirdRadio stream. If it doesn't start automatically, find this playlist.pls file you just downloaded and double-click it to get it going.
Make a playlist in your media player that's just for radio stations so you can access your favourites directly from your playlist whenever you like without going via a website or doing a search.
